ill go back and give it another shot on my upcoming SFO - TPE route, didn't put it on the bag at all or open it out of the packaging, so I may have been too quick to judge. ^

Does not look bad once on the bag. Even if not used for gate check priority service, they do provides a little extra handle padding and makes it easier to id your checked bags on the carousel.
Thanks! Will throw it on my bag, admittedly, I didn't take it out of the package, I just looked at it and threw it on the counter.
Will use it this upcoming trip!
