Recently took a flight RT from LAX - IAH - LIR and back.

LAX - IAH was a redeye, and my SO and I were sitting in F. The entire time, the FAs were chatting so loudly in the galley and keeping everyone up after drinks/snacks were given out.

Couple passengers had to ask them to tone it down, but it was met with a blank stare and maybe muffled talk for about 30 seconds before it cranked up again volume-wise.

IAH - LIR on the return, just more chatty FAs, playing games on their phones.

How is this possible and what are your experiences around this? Is it OK to tell them to please keep it down? I feel like they should already know that and it shouldn't have to be reiterated.

I complained to UA and got some miles in return, but man, it was rough.
