Cancelling "Non-Refundable" Hotel Booked via UR Points

Has anyone ever tried cancelling a "non-refundable" hotel booking using points on UR? I'm on hold with UR right now (20 minute wait ) to see what they can do for me.

Since it was booked with points, would I lose the points or would they get credited back by Chase?

Thanks in advance if anyone else has run into this.
