Hi everyone, and thanks for the help. I wanted to add some extra info about my situation.

I will be starting a new job as a consultant for a large consulting company on Monday, which will have travel domestically in the USA. I never did anything like this, so I'm looking to start off on the right foot and taking advantage from the beginning. I'm not sure of the total amount just yet, but I'm estimating 2 round trips per month. I applied for and received a corporate American Express card where everything must be expensed and I keep the points. This card must be used for all expenses. The platinum is available for $395 at my own expense, is it worth it?

Aside from just picking an Airline and Hotel plan, I wanted to know the best way to book to maximize points, like does having an airline and hotel partner help, doing it online vs any other method, etc. (a link to a general guide on booking is probably what I need).

Also, would getting 100k points from Chase Sapphire Reserve make a big difference in terms of status and perks if I transferred them?

1. What is most important to you in a frequent flyer program (FFP)?
upgrades, priority services, baggage allowance, good award redemption rates, better award access, lounge access, etc.

Upgrades (something like AA/United where if a higher class is available they upgrade for free?), awards second

2. How many miles do you usually fly each year? How many flights/sectors?
less than 25000 miles, 50000+ miles and 20-25 flights, etc.

20-25 trips per year, 40-50 flights

3. What fare class do you usually buy?
first, business, premium economy, economy

Probably economy but a budget is given for airfare per engagement, which I have not seen yet, but I would get a better seat if the budget allows for it.

4. Are you able to choose your airlines and/or class of service? Do you travel for work and/or pleasure?

I travel for business but would use the rewards for vacation. I can choose what airlines, class of service is yet to be determined.

5. Which routes do you fly most often?
transatlantic, domestic USA, intra-Asia, etc.

Domestic USA

6. What is your home airport?

JFK

7. Do you have status in any FFP? What is it? How miles do you have banked in each FFP, if any?

Currently 6,000 with Jetblue

8. What are your preferred airlines, if any?

Anything with possible upgrades as I'm tall.
