The Wiki states that it's unclear if GUCs or Mileage Upgrades have priority. I'm waitlisted for an UG with miles (30,000 OW!!) LAX-JFK. Is there any more clarify on the priority? I'm I under every Diamond using instruments to UG? Or does DL prefer to clear miles off their books first?
UPDATE: When I called in to check why my upgrade request seemed to vanish, I got cleared for the upgrade on the spot. That said, I did ask about priority and was told that Diamonds/Plats using GUC and RUC certs would have the priority over a Gold w/ miles upgrade. 30,000 miles were deducted for the UG.
