The mail I actually got in July 2016 has the same sentences, and it was indeed valid, so your voucher is not fake, I think.
The voucher can be used to pay for Finnair flights which are operated and marketed by Finnair (flights with an AY code).
If the value of the voucher is not enough to cover the full fare, you can pay the rest with the credit card. You can use the voucher to pay for several passengers’ flight on the same booking. For one booking you can use one voucher.
The voucher cannot be used to pay for Finnair Plus award flights, money+points offers or Any Seat reservations.
The reservation must be made before the expiration date. Travel date can be later. Book the flight one week before the planned flight departure date at the latest. The voucher is not personal, so you can pass it on to a friend.
Please note that exchange rate can caused some varies in ticket prices.
When you would like to book your next Finnair flights, please contact us at Finnair Customer Care Center, Tel. +358 9 8140 140 (open 8am-8 pm Finland time, GMT+2)
When you book your flights, please mention that you will use the gift voucher as a payment method and keep this voucher details available.
