I've experienced this same scenario several times over the last few years at this hotel.

My view is the hotel front desk is one of the worst that I encounter at Starwood properties.

From my experiences, it seems like the "master plan" of who will get what room is determined the day before and they will NOT generally make changes.

Something simple like moving you from a not-ready room to a ready to check-in room of the same type is something that they won't do. They just won't do it.

The check-in process is really a mostly terrible experience now because of this.
