For those DMs here - When I was DM, there was no ticketing deadline for revenue bookings for DMs. I don't know if that is the case for first class (never bought one), and I don't know if that is still the case (lost DM 5 months ago). If that is no ticketing deadline, there is no need for DMs to ticket an A fare upfront.
