I've been trying to book very specific flights for a trip later this year, and was only able to do so after pulling the itinerary up in ITA Matrix and then booking via Priceline.
The trip is ticketed on ANA (205) stock NYC - SIN with fare basis PFWGZNMD on the outbound and ZFX0ZNMD on the return. There are a mix of UA and NH flights on the outbound, and NH flights only on the return.
I'm trying to verify that this is a mileage earning ticket that I'll be able to credit to my MP account - does the fact that I can pull these fare rules up on ExpertFlyer make them "published" fares?
FWIW, viewing my reservation on united.com lists a non-zero amount of PQM, PQS and PQD that will be earned from this reservation, but I don't know if that's to be trusted.
Have you tried a UA phone agent? I've had complex routes mixing NH and UA both with upgrades and paid J. If you get a good phone agent who knows what they're doing, they can usually piece together the itin that you see.
