Hi all,
Some advice please.
I travelled back from Sydney to London, via Singapore in First, on a seat that was broken and would not recline. Instead, it would only move further upright.
Having getting stuck in a bolt upright position, the seat was turned off for 4 hours whilst it 'reset'. I later learned that the reason that this took so long was because the hostess forgot about me in my 'bucket seat'.
Furthermore there were comments said by the hostess that were, in short embarrassing. These were overheard by other passengers who asked me if I was ok after hearing them said to me.
On the second leg of the journey, I was told that the engineer in Singapore found the fault and was unable to fix it. I was advised that any time I wanted to move the seat, the hostesses would need to come and manually move it.
This caused much amusement and consternation to the other First passengers who glared either at me, or the 2 hostesses on the on the floor grunting and groaning with the seat.
In short. First cabin, broken seat and poor crew on first leg. Thoughts?
