If you have a single ticketed itinerary, then the allowance will be the internationmal allowance for the whole journey

If you have multiple tickets, then each ticketed part will have its own allowance of piece or weight

If you are travelling MEL-BNE-new Guinea on a single ticket the allowance will be 30Kg economy and 40Kg business

If you have 1 ticket MEL-BNE and another for BNE-Guinea then the allowance for the MEL-BNE flight will be 1 piece max 23Kg economy or 2 pieces max 32 Kg business and then the allowance for BNE-Guinea will be 30Kg economy and 40Kg business

Whether there is any additional allowance for EK Gold status would be something to ask the EK forum
