Thank you jmgriffin: whats interesting is that on long trip buses, you can have a similar experience to airliners. Bus travel outside the USA, is not just for the poor, AKA Greyhound. For cost of operation reasons, much of the America's have lost passenger train service and Luxury buses have taken their place.
It is quite impressive to see what private companies can do, with a competitive market, with many players. The US airline industry was like this, before deregulation: great innovation, comfort, and service. Now, like rail, it is a large oligopoly, without any of the traits show above (AMTRAK).
