I also noticed that EMV went a lot faster this time. Could it be something related to my BofA card that I tried last time? I originally got it pretty early on in the EMV migration so maybe some improvements have been made there.

Also, LJS still hides their terminals from customers (attached). No EMV either. They even have the mount for the PIN pad installed on the customer side, which seems like a waste if it's not going to be accessible at all.
