AS F/C service really varies according to destinations. Breakfast service varies... on the ANC route, you will always have a hot entree, even in Y, but on the lower 48 states, LAX is possibly the only destination which features a hot breakfast. On the PHX-SEA route, F class gets a bowl of cereal with banana, fruit plate and scone. On SFO-SEA and other shorter routes, you will be served a fruit plate and breakfast pastry. I guess the lower cost base forces AS to do these changes.

Lunch is always the salad with roll or sandwich with side salad, and a sweet. It is definitely AS' weakest link. I always eat something before flying AS' so called lunch flight, except the ORD-ANC route. Even on ANC-SEA routes, lunch service is the same old salad with roll or sandwich with side salad. Y class lunch is sometimes better than F.

F class will at least get a fruit and cheese plate on most non-meal flights, except the redeye flights.

PS. On the ORD-ANC route, the service begins with a continental breakfast (fruit plate and pastry in F, and pastry in Y -- more like a refreshment anyway), and then a hot full lunch prior to arrival.

Anyway have any idea about the new meal services on the DCA routes yet!!!
