Asiana does this all the time. There is no reason I can see for it & ive never gotten a good explanation. Try calling. I bought a tkt (w $$, not points but that should not matter) from JFK-ICN & when I went to get my seat, there was one window taken and the other 5 windows blocked. I call Asiana (the Korean call center) & got a supervisor. I politely explained if I could not get a window, I would need to refund my ticket & fly KE instead. That worked & 2 min later I had 2A. Obviously you can't threaten to do that when on points but it does show they can assign these blocked seats if they want to. You should call and ask for a seat...if the agent can't do it escalate to a supervisor. They can & should do it for u
