Booking ANA Award Flight through Virgin Atlantic?
I've seen numerous references on FT to booking ANA award travel via Virgin Atlantic because fewer points are required.

I have been trying to do this but EVERY search I do on the Virgin site for the Tokyo-NYC route returns:

"We're sorry. There are no scheduled Virgin Atlantic or Partner flights from New York Area Airports - New York (All Airports) (NYC) to Tokyo Area Airports - Tokyo (All Airports) (TYO). Please try again with an alternative airport. #101766A"

Newark is the same:

"We're sorry. There are no scheduled Virgin Atlantic or Partner flights between Tokyo Area Airports - Tokyo (All Airports) (TYO) and Newark - Newark Liberty International (EWR). Please try again with an alternative airport. #101765A"

Clearly, this is not correct because ANA does run this route. Am I missing something? Can this only be done by phone?
