NRPS is the same as having an assigned seat BP1 MUST RIDE. Meaning they will bump a Rev pax to get those Pilot/FA's to the flight they have to work.
HOWEVER, there are different levels of NRPS.
I believe deadheading pilots are BP1, while deadheading FAs and most other NRPS are BP3. (BP1 through BP4 are all positive space; BP5 through BP10 are all standby.)
