I agree. I have tested this a lot the last 2 years. And in ALL cases, I have received Premium Internet when signing in with my Diamond HHonors number and room number.
A current example: I'm staying at Hilton Garden Inn Central Park South right now. I asked about Premium Internet at check in. They asked me to buy the Premium and they would remove the charge. So that's what I did on one device. Speedtest shows 25Mb up and down. On my other device I used my HHonors number an room number. Speed: 25Mb up and down!
The only advantage selecting the option to buy Premium is that you can stay logged in for all the stay. The disadvantage is that several times it has been hard to get the charge removed at checkout.
