You are really lucky since it was weather related. We were stranded in SEA in January overnight, both of us Gold and they did nothing to help us besides book the flight for the next day.
However, we were coming back from a cruise so I just submitted the extra night's hotel to their insurance (which we had) and it was covered. Which got me to thinking how we seldom (if ever) think about which credit cards we use to book flights that offer travel insurance - I know now what to use to book in the future, and *hint* - it's not our Alaska Visa!
