It's been a few years now since I last raised the questions so thought I'd ask on this thread for which FF scheme to join again. Reason being is my LX M&M Silver has now expired and I'm basically a 'free agent' to join something else before my next long haul flight (LH, economy, ZRH-FRA-SEA) in March.

Reason I'm keen to move to another FF scheme is LX M&M award flights are very expensive considering the taxes they pass on. When I was BA Silver/Gold out of LHR there were almost no taxes and flying to Continental Europe was cheap Avios points.

(2) What types of fares do you usually buy? Economy
(3) How many miles do you usually fly each year? (25k-50k)
(4) Do you have any kind of status at present? What is it? None, M&M silver just expired
(5) What is most important to you in a FFP? Lounge access, award redemption
(6) Which routes do you fly most often? ZRH to continental Europe, ZRH-SFO, ZRH-FRA-SEA.
(7) Preferred Airlines? LX, LH given the routes from ZHR and the fact I like to avoid stopovers
(8) Do you travel for work or pleasure? (Can you chooose your airlines, class of service?) work 20%, personal 80%
