I heard back from them. I didn't email receipts but told me about the rough amount spent on uber and that it's about an hour and half drive from my house to BLI to get the car (maybe 90 miles or so?). I acknowledged that the situation was really out of Alaska's control. If anything, it would have been nicer if they had provided more information to us before we landed so that there wouldn't be 100+ people waiting in line at customer service all asking the same questions.

I was pleasantly surprised with the response. I was hoping for maybe a little bit in the form of discount codes to be used in the future per ticket (we paid for 5 tickets). I didn't specify an amount but was thinking maybe $75/ticket or so?

They ended up giving me a couple hundred bucks/ticket. They basically ended up paying for around 1/2 of our airplane tickets for this trip so in essence, our return flight was free.

I fly Alaska a lot so discount codes is the same as cash for me.

I'm definitely a loyal customer of Alaska because they do things right. They could have offered me nothing and I would have been ok with it (although slightly disappointed). They have exceeded my expectations again.

I flew Alaska this morning. My next flight is tomorrow night. Keep rollin'...
