That's always a good idea. There are some people who simply can't handle credit, though, so debit cards should still be made safer for that crowd.

Something else that'll have to be considered eventually is whether we'll adopt 3D Secure on a widespread basis for online stores or if we'll mostly use some other alternative. So far it looks like they're really pushing stuff like Visa Checkout hard but things like Apple Pay's website support are picking up steam too.
