As by definition the crew are the last ones to leave the aircraft, why can't they put them down the back ?
The OH said this to a cabin crew member earlier this week.
While he understood passenger frustrations, he mentioned that someone had walked off with his bag in the past and he never saw it again.
Not a reason to inconvenience row 1 passengers but an interesting data point.
