As another poster has responded, you can buy a top up of needed Asia Miles if you have a certain percentage. Perhaps when I tried I didn't have the right percentage. I think now I do, so I'll try again.

There's no such thing at Asia Miles. What you can do is buy miles directly, at chunks of 1000 for 32.5 USD. That's very poor value proposition, however...
