Known System Glitch - Online check in this week not counting your stay
If you used online check in this week, there is a known issue where though you may have physically checked in to the hotel (and received keys), the system did not recognize you as having checked into the property.
ie, I checked in Monday 2/27 and checked out Thurs 3/2 but my stay registered as only 2 nights. On Check Out my folio confused the desk agent and she called corporate who confirmed the issue detailed above, apparently they had adjusted behind the scenes on Tuesday to re-check me in, and while my folio showed 3 nights charged, they were detailed as follows:
2/28 Room Rate Charge
Tax
2/28 Room Rate Charge
Tax
3/1 Room Rate Charge
Tax
They were unable to manually override the dates and the front desk offered to call Gold Passport to ensure I received 3 nights credit as I pointed out the folio shows only 2 nights eligible towards my stay count. I logged in today online and can see my account only shows 2 nights credited so I will need to follow up but wanted to pass along to the FT community that this is apparently a 'known' issue with online check in.
I'm unsure if this was limited to Monday or has extended all week (it may still be an issue). Will use online check in Monday again to confirm if fixed.
