Carfield---Alaska IS configuring the 739s 16F, 156 Y. Is that what were you hoping for?
Personally, I think 12 F would be better in case of aircraft swaps, but 16 is what they are doing.
One issue that I have is the lack of in-flight entertainment. Alaska needs to do something about Y class on the ANC-LAX flights SEA-Mexico and ANC-ORD (and SEA-DCA, if it ever happens). I would love to see the Satellite TV on all 737-400, 737-700s and newer MD80s, but if that can't happen, they need to at least address the issue on longer flights. Perhaps they should just install IFE on the 73Gs and the three MD-80s with extended range.
