Yes, the pathways are covered, as is the driveway/entrance. I thankfully missed any downpours, but I think there is sufficient coverage to stay dry and prevent water pooling. Some rooms open up directly to the outdoor walkway, and some have an internal hallway. I liked the very short walk outside to the elevator.

It is a big hotel, but so are many luxury properties in Singapore. It never felt crowded to me, and, for example, waits for the elevator were always reasonable. It's definitely not a boutique property, but the feels may be different with Orchid Club access which I did not have.
