GUC Waitlist Tips
Anyone have any tips for GUC waitlists? I hear that I should get the to airport early and ask the Sky Club agent to clear me as they have access before the gate agent. Is there any validity to that? My route is ATL-LAX-SYD and we are waitlisted on a W fare. So I am thinking that if I wake up the day of my flight and have not been upgraded, I will get to the airport like 3 or 4 hours before my flight and get to the Skyclub. The problem with that is that my wife will not be able to get there that early. Does anyone know if that will matter? We are on the same reso.
Any other tips would be much appreciated. For instance, does anyone know if the seat maps are accurate in terms of seats available? It is showing 20+ still available and I am about a month out. Does that seem like good news?
