Assuming the staff know the rules, you will be fine to access the BA lounge on a CX J ticket without status. You will however be given a voucher for the No. 1 lounge at check in.

If I was doing it again, I would probably go for the No. 1 lounge. The BA one was quite busy, the champagne was rough and they have no hot food at that time of day - just some pastries, fruit and yoghurt.
