For 90% of my flights I use Google Flight Search. One of the features I like is filtering by alliances, click 'Airlines' in the search window and you can select OneWorld, SkyTeam or StarAlliance. I haven't seen anyone else mention this feature but I'm pretty new around these parts too. For more complicated routes I use ITA Matrix, takes a while to get used to it but it's incredibly powerful.
