I stayed here in December, and while I'm not sure the hotel belongs in this forum I'm planning on staying here again.

The main positives for me are
- location: I don't want to be amidst office towers and shopping malls. There is an excellent hawker centre directly behind the hotel, and others nearby. Chinatown is almost next door, and there's tons of unique eating and drinking options in a 10-15 min walk, all in nice neighborhoods.

- transport: an MRT stop is a couple of minutes away

- architecture: I like the modern style with all the foliage. I stayed in a junior suite which was spacious and felt contemporary but warm. I was initially disappointed with being on the 6th floor, but it's actually a fair amount higher than anticipated, and being eye-level with the planters gave more privacy. The Junior Suite also has a ton of natural light. With the room layout and being at the end of the hall it's quiet too.

I'm familiar with Singapore so I didn't rely on the staff for advice or assistance with any sort of arrangements and can't comment much on service. It's odd that the concierge desk is outside in the humidity.

For reference, my previous go-to in Singapore was the Ritz Carlton, but the location is a bit isolated. Otherwise I was quite happy with the RC.
