If you have a Plat Amex - the centurion club is better in all respects to the United Clubs
If you have any Amex and have to pay $50 for entry, it is probably still better than UC for longer layovers. They have quiet areas with lay out sofas behind the wall where you enter. Not behind the desk, but if you came in and kept walking straight instead of stopping at the desk.
