I had always had this hotel on my list to stay at if I was in Rome. Took advantage of the good Europe airfares and am going to be in Rome 5 nights. Seemed perfect to redeem points for 5th night free here but I'm having second thoughts after reading through this most recent thread. Upscale/5* is always nice but if I can get something almost as nice but in a better location and for less points, I tend to lean that way.
Silver status, first time Rome visitor, is it worth it to burn the points here?
I hate to say it, but without having a high level Rome view room, or access to the Imperial Club level, I would probably chose something closer to the city center.
Even as a Diamond, the fact that they closed the downstairs HH lounge and charge for breakfast has pretty much steered my away from considering this property unless I can score a deal on an Imperial level room.
