Frustrated.

We have a trip booked here for April. We reserved two oceanfront rooms and we worked to keep Diamond for 2017 specifically for this trip. When we made the reservation in January, we were told we couldn't use a DSU for one of the rooms then because the travel was after March 1st, so we had to wait for our next allotment of DSU's. Well, I call this morning and now the hotel is sold out.

The CSR noted in our reservation that we tried to use a DSU and would like to if it becomes available, but I'm guessing the chances of it being available at check-in are slim to none.

Does anyone have experience with something like this working out for them? Is it worth e-mailing the GM to see if he can help? I see there's a new GM, Fred Findlen as of January. Anyone have his e-mail address?

I know that we'll still be in Maui (can't complain) and DSU's aren't guaranteed, but it seems ours always end up going to waste because the hotels can't accommodate.
