I thought of getting the club points and gift it to my mum, who normally travels 4-5 long haul return trips with CX and is currently SL. She will then get little bit higher chance of op-up and 5kg more luggage each time. She doesn't travel with any other OW airlines. I would have done it if they kept V class guarantee...

If it's not so useful for someone flying CX 10 times a year already, how much value would it be for someone not even SL?

I wish I had GO when I started to fly with CX, fly fly fly ... 30k miles, got SL, down to 0 miles... fly fly fly fly fly fly .... 60k miles, GO, down to 0 miles....... fly fly fly fly fly fly fly fly fly fly fly .....finally DM. It would be great value if I could start with GO, not GREEN.
