I thought of getting the club points and gift it to my mum, who normally travels 4-5 long haul return trips with CX and is currently SL. She will then get little bit higher chance of op-up and 5kg more luggage each time. She doesn't travel with any other OW airlines. I would have done it if they kept V class guarantee...

If it's not so useful for someone flying CX 10 times a year already, how much value would it be for someone not even SL?

I wish I had GO when I started to fly with CX, fly fly fly ... 30k miles, got SL, down to 0 miles... fly fly fly fly fly fly .... 60k miles, GO, down to 0 miles....... fly fly fly fly fly fly fly fly fly fly fly .....finally DM. It would be great value if I could start with GO, not GREEN.

Actually I'm still annoyed at their system to be honest. It demoralises you if you have to start at GR and get all the way to DM with all those resets, even though you know you could achieve it in the first year, it might take you two years to finally reach DM after all the resets.

I just wrote them an email a week ago telling them that I was about to hit DM after 1,5 years and if they could kindly just bump me up earlier on march 1st (today), but they would'nt budge.
