2nd trip here in a year. Last year, I stayed in an Ocean View Master Double. This year, I booked a Master King using the Chase free nights. Thought things were looking promising on arrival. Upon stepping out of the taxi, the bellman asked for my name, which he checked against a small roster. He immediately led us to the Premium Reception area. There, we were informed we had been upgraded to a "Ziva Suite" in Building 2 due to Platinum status, which was really a bit of a mixed bag. 6th floor and great ocean view, but pretty much the same overall size as the Master King room. There's just a wall in the middle, with a bedroom and bathroom on one side, and a sitting area and second bathroom on the other. This might come in handy if you're traveling with kids, but if solo/couple, all this does is make your own space half the size. The rest is wasted space. Also, this room type lacks a jacuzzi tub and an actual balcony. They claim it has a "Juliet balcony" which means you have a sliding door with a railing immediately outside it. There's not even room for a chair... you have enough room to take one step out and envy the people across the way who all have full balconies in Building 3. Aside from the better view, the room upgrade was anything but. May try to switch for remaining nights...
