As was mentioned in the Starwood thread, Marriott is aware of the drop to Gold when it should still be Plat for SPG LTP.
Premex was told they're working on correcting it & the Plats who were erroneously dropped to Gold should be back to Plat by March 3rd.
StarwoodLurker said in this post to give Marriott 10 days to get it sorted or, if truly concerned, send along your personal details to the Lurkers & they'll pass it along to the appropriate Marriott folk.

If you've got a stay before it's corrected, you can contact Marriott after the stay to get the extra (dif btwn G/P) % of points added to your account.
