My point is that it's not even a fight - just decline DCC at check out and you're done (some properties will even ask/confirm at check-in). I have never been unable to get charged in local currency, and it has never taken me more than a <10 second, polite exchange to have that done.
I get that there is a larger issue at hand with the fact that DCC is a thing at all, but again, that is not a property-specific concern IMO. It's also not one I feel like investing any more time in, since as mentioned above, it's easy enough for even a marginally informed traveler to avoid.
