As previously posted I have on again off again considered switching to AS from United for my West Coast stuff (About 100-125 RT's annually.

As I mull this over two things stick out:

1) Change Fee's; How is AS? are they some what liberal, I often fly on discounted (seldom heavily discounted) fares and am paying about $100.00 weekly in penalties. It is getting worse at UA too. Is Alaska any better, mind you, I'm not trying to skirt the system rather looking for flexibility. I also buy A LOT of full fares, which pose other problems (Refund VS. vOUCHer.

2) The automated check In kiosk's; All of my travel is coordinated through an agent. I have experienced problems using the kiosks with these E-Tickets Why?
