Canadian regulation now forces parents to sit with parents if under a certain age (I think 12). Doesn't matter if they are bumped to a later flight. Has happened to me. Normally I'm not a seething ....., so we just get it done on the plane as 99.9% of humanity don't want to sit beside young kids by themselves on a plane...
