On a recent flt from KOA to PDX we were "upgraded" from our exit row seats which I selected to PC - but we were not seated next to each other - when I called to ask what the heck happened ... they said sorry and no we could not be moved back to the original seats and yes I can select not to be upgraded but reading the forums - that doesn't seem to work very well
