MileageAddict: I think you are probably right. I was just thinking about the initial startup of the route and the chance to possibly take advantage of either bonus miles (I believe they did this when they started the ANC-ORD run and/or added TUS flights) or a low introductory price. Even with just the straight miles, my 100% Gold bonus and 50% upgrade bonus, this would be a worthwhile mileage run for me. I always enjoy flying AS and a good book is all I need for entertainment.
