I think a SEA-DCA route would benefit those living in the DC area more than us Northwesterners since after flying to SEA, a whole slew of connection possibilities become available. For a SEA based traveler such as myself, I would not fly AS to DCA if I needed to be at another location on the east coast unless they offered mileage-earning connections with another carrier. Also, AS will need to offer better inflight entertainment options than they currently have. I don't know....I'm a little concerned about AS venturing so far from home.
Offtopic: Does anyone remember the days when AS code-shared with AA and you could fly on AS metal from DFW-SEA?
(Yes, Travelweary...those Mariners are AWESOME!)
