To be fair to Alaska, I haven't had any issues with their upgrade program, nor have I had previous issues with seat assignments. Upgrades to first class on highly trafficked elite routes are not to be expected and are appreciated when they do happen. This is the first time in over 10 years that Alaska has apparently made an arbitrary seat change on one of my reservations.

What does concern me is the IT changes without agent oversight.
