When do delay reason codes get entered by BA?

Hi,

Currently waiting for the BA827 from DUB which is delayed by enough to cause a missed connection to tonight's MCT service.

When do BA enter the delay reason code - I've check in expert flyer but can't see anything yet?

Looks like LHR-KWI-(KU)MCT is the best option but as expected the (usually very helpful) GGL call centre are not authorised to help with a non BA re-route.

I'll try to sort this out in LHR where they have slightly more discretion but does anyone have any suggested re-route options? The more obvious reroute through DOH isn't a great connection and doesn't get into Muscat until early evening.

Thanks!
