It's an abhorrent practice that offers no value to consumers whatsoever. Are you defending Starwood because others like Hyatt do it? I think it is imperative that we as a group fight against this at every turn. Post negative reviews for EVERY hotel that attempts this here on FT, on TripAdvisor, on Yelp and everywhere we can til they stop.
