Can be very bad if you are hard at work on your laptop and do not realize it is 1 hour behind local time.
You have just explained why we almost had a disaster HNL/ATL/PHL. After the hnl/atl redeye, I reset my watch. While taking a leisurely stay in the lounge, I wandered over to check out the phl flight and got a big shock. They would be boarding in minutes, not in an hour and minutes. I obviously used my wife's notebook for the time source.
