I posted this in another thread recently, but I used to be one of those people that went right to the MLL 100% of the time.

Now I usually end up going to the MLL if I need to work / take a call (I can almost always find a good place to do so in the MLL, which is nice) and if I feel like relaxing and having a drink I end up in one of the restaurants in whatever airport I am in, and for example YYZ T1 has a couple of reasonable options.

So the MLL at North American airports still has some value for me, but not as much as it used to. You are right about the MLL in some overseas airports, FRA comes to mind for example as one where access to it is almost always desirable.
