Layz, I absolutely agree with the point that you don't understand, (or have an accord) but, for me, it really depends on the circumstances. My Silver benefits are great for my regular long-haul route from GIG-LHR, where I can select a seat, and check-in to the lounge 3 hours ahead and drink the bar dry ahead of 11 hour flight. But that does not work for me on short-hauls hops with my kids, who have no patience to hang around in VIP lounges and don't want to be at the airport 3 hours ahead of a flight that last only 2.
