Do not clear my surplus tier Points

Anyone feels like me that BA should just clear the Tier Points for the Tiers met and roll-over the difference?

For example, if at the end of the Tier Points Collection year, there is 1,680 Tier points and the Gold Tier is 1,500 points, the account for the next year should reflect 180 points, the 1500 points having been cleared

How can we push BA to change this?
